Cassidy Turley Project Leasing Team Increases CBD Tower’s Occupancy over 15 % in Six Months

CHARLOTTE, NC – Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., has represented the owner in leasing transactions totaling 48,446 square feet at 200 South Tryon Street in the Charlotte CBD.

Cassidy Turley assumed leasing and management of the 215,000-square-foot office tower in May and has increased 200 South Tryon’s occupancy rate by over 15% since. Cassidy Turley Vice President Joe Franco leads Project Leasing efforts at the property, while Wendy Clark, Senior Property Manager, leads Property Management.

Additionally, the owner is investing in excess of $1.5 million to renovate and upgrade the lobby and common areas throughout the Building, lighting, bathrooms, the exterior entrance way and Building systems such as HVAC replacement.  200 S. Tryon currently has amenities such as McCormick & Schmick’s and Hazelnut Creperie restaurants, a common building conference facility and 24 hour security. The property has 76,000 square feet of contiguous office space available to prospective tenants and various smaller units ranging from 2,500 sf to 10,000 sf.

Recent renewals and expansions include: Secure EDI for 10,220 square feet, with MPV’s Robby Kirby providing tenant representation; Allen Ewing for 5,045 square feet, with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Jim Thorp representing the tenant; and Kforce’s for 4,232 square feet, with Chuck Dixon of Dixon Commercial Real Estate representing the tenant.

Recent new tenants at 200 South Tryon include: Signature Healthcare, which leased 3,676 square feet and was represented by Reed Griffith of Brackett Flagship; and Diversant, which leased 5,108 square feet and was represented by Parker Melvin of CBRE.

Recent renewals include: Mallard Creek Capital for 2,348 square feet, ColeJenest & Stone for 10,220 square feet, with Lincoln Harris’ Marshall Williamson representing the tenant; Deutsche Bank for 3,069 square feet, with Louis Stephen of Jones Lang LaSalle providing tenant representation; and Scott Wilson with Childress Klein representing Columbus Nova for 3,167 square feet.
