NASHVILLE – Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., was recently recognized with six awards from NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Nashville chapter. Awards included Broker of the Year, Office Sale of the Year, Industrial Sale of the Year, Industrial Lease of the Year, Redevelopment of the Year and Industrial Development of the Year.
Each year the Awards Gala recognizes excellence in commercial real estate. Crews Johnston III received the Broker of the Year Award for his work during 2011. Johnston was instrumental in more than half of the office investment sales that took place in Nashville including a portfolio sale of three office buildings in the airport submarket and leased more than 500,000 square feet of space.
Crews Johnston III and Perry Gooch were recognized with the Office Sale of the Year for their work representing Duke Realty in the sale of Lakeview I, II and III. These buildings were part of a portfolio that also included two buildings in the Cincinnati market. The 988,539 square foot portfolio sold for more than $97 million.
The team of David McGahren, Doug Howard and John Ward received the Industrial Lease of the Year for their involvement in the 518,000 square foot Griffin Technology lease. The group represented the landlord at Interchange Distribution Center. They also were recognized with the Industrial Sale of the Year for their part in selling a six building portfolio for $56.7 million for JP Morgan.
Another member of the Cassidy Turley team, Ronnie Wenzler, was recognized for his involvement in leasing two projects, The Sawtooth Building and AmeriPlex. The properties received the Redevelopment of the Year Award and Industrial Development of the Year Award, respectively.
