Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Cassidy Turley and the Cincinnati Bengals Team Up

Each Bengals’ Touchdown Pass Leads to a $1,000 Donation

CINCINNATIAugust 13, 2013 – Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., has partnered with the Cincinnati Bengals to aid the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in its fight against pediatric cancer

The Cassidy Turley Healthcare Tenant Advisory team, led by Mike Hartmann and Bob Ryan, will donate $1,000 to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for Pediatric Cancer Research for each touchdown pass completed by the Bengals this season.

“Cincinnati Children's is home to one of the world's largest childhood cancer research centers,” said Dr. John Perentesis, Division Director, Oncology, and Co-Director of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute. “However, that research to develop new cures needs your help.  We are very grateful to Cassidy Turley for their generous support.”

Cassidy Turley wanted the children who have been treated at the hospital to be involved in the promotion, so on August 3, 40 guests from the Cincinnati Children’s Champions program were given VIP access to practice at the Bengals training camp. With brand new Bengals footballs in hand, the children were treated to a front-row view of practice and the Bengals’ players, and they also had the opportunity to meet a few of the players who graciously provided autographs after practice.

“Any time we can give to an organization that is so important to the health of children in our community and around the world, as well as to the economic vitality of Greater Cincinnati, we make it a high priority,” said Bob Ryan, Executive Managing Director/Principal, Cassidy Turley. “Last year, the Bengals completed 28 touchdown passes, and we’re hoping for even more this season.”

The Cincinnati Children’s Champions program brings together patients and families who’ve received care at the medical center. Simply by sharing their stories, Champions helps inspire others, raise awareness about diseases and important health issues and encourage other families who may be going through a difficult time. Champions also volunteer at events, serve on councils/committees and help Cincinnati Children’s raise money to help more children and families. There are currently approximatelhy 700 patients in the program.

“Champions is a community, providing patients and families with opportunities to speak at our events, raise awareness for areas of treatment and connect with other families receiving care at Cincinnati Children’s,” said Maggie Brennan, Donor Relations Officer, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Cincinnati Children’s has utilized the services of Mike Hartmann and Bob Ryan since 1997 to strategically expand both medical and office functions as well as acquire land for future development.
