NEW YORK – September 13, 2011 – Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., secured a 10-year lease agreement for The Aspen Institute for approximately 8,300 square feet of space at 477 Madison Avenue. The Aspen Institute’s New York executive and administrative offices, which service all of the organization’s New York programs, will now occupy part of the seventh floor at 477 Madison Avenue.
The Aspen Institute, headquartered in Washington DC, is a prominent, global non-profit organization that was founded in 1950. Its mission is to foster enlightened leadership, encouraging individuals and organizations to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and to provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.
“Aspen has a desire to strengthen its presence and identity in New York and, for the first time, all of their New York programs will be co-located in the same office,” said David Lebenstein, Senior Managing Director, Principal and Leader of the Not-for-Profit Practice, Cassidy Turley. “Cassidy Turley worked with The Aspen Institute on its plans to consolidate its satellite offices to a more convenient location so it may better serve the needs of its employees and Board of Trustees. To that end, Cassidy Turley’s Not-for-Profit Group worked to lock in a deal at an advantageous rent for a premier location, and negotiate a generous work letter and free rent concession for The Aspen Institute.”
Assisting Mr. Lebenstein in this transaction was Debra Wollens, Vice President. David Hoffman, Jr., Executive Managing Director, and Wendy Miller, Managing Director represented the landlord.
