Andrew Laing Joins Cassidy Turley to Lead Project and Development Services in the Carolinas

Industry veteran to manage and grow project development services in the region

Cassidy Turley, a leading national commercial real estate services firm in the US, announced today that the company has hired Andrew Laing as Vice President of Project and Development Services for the North and South Carolina region. In this role he will develop, manage and grow Cassidy Turley’s project and development services through existing client relationships and third party construction management.

“Andrew’s leadership experience and background in project management and sustainability will be integral to expanding the firm’s project and development services platform in this market,” said Gary Helminski, Executive Managing Director for Project and Development Services at Cassidy Turley. “Andrew will work collaboratively with the firm’s other service lines in Raleigh and Charlotte to ensure that all clients have their projects delivered on time and on budget, while leveraging best practices and his sustainability expertise.”

Mr. Laing brings with him over 10 years of project management experience.  He most recently served for over six years as the Director of Sustainability and Project Management with Keystone Partners, a real estate services firm based in Charlotte.  During this time, he oversaw ground-up and retrofit projects, as well as LEED certification, sustainability consulting and green building projects. As a founding member of Keystone Partners Project Management Practice, Mr. Laing was an integral part of growing and developing new project management business.  Among his clients were Nucor, Babcock & Wilcox, American City Business Journals, RREEF, and Colonial Properties Trust.  Prior to this, Mr. Laing spent three years at Wilcox & Company as a project manager specializing in tenant improvements.

Mr. Laing earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a post-graduate certificate in Construction Management from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a LEED® accredited professional since 2006, is a licensed broker in North Carolina, and a USGBC National and Charlotte Chapter member. From 2008 to 2009, Andrew was a member of the USGBC Charlotte Chapter Sponsorship Committee, which he co-Chaired in 2009.  Most recently, Andrew was the speaker at the annual SIOR of the Carolina’s meeting where he addressed LEED and Sustainably.
